Book Rest
Park your book in style.
A good read deserves a good home!
I’ve never liked bookmarks. Closing a book seems so final and a barrier to picking it up and getting back into it. So normally I’d just put the book open-pages-down on a table. This looks messy and messes up the spine.
But when the book is like that you do get a beautiful curve between the pages and the surface it is on.
The book looks like a house roof and so it was a short jump to making a house to go underneath it. Other designs are in the works (see the CAD files for a sneak peek).
The body of the house is made of laser cut 1 mm steel, bent here at the studio and then powder coated. A cork mat inside and a foam mat undeerneath finish it off.
Feel free to make them yourself (license needed for anything commmercial) - see the CAD links and the github repo. Or buy it direct from us.
